September 14th, 2009, 9:36 amI'm a little surprised that there wasn't a more outright condemnation of such a classless move by Kanye West. I'm not sure what Whoopi Goldberg means when she says "people do this all the time," but that's ridiculous. They do not. No one strolls onto the stage at the Academy Awards, takes the microphone from the winner and announces that someone else was better. You don't do that. You send the loser a note, a card, even a text message and tell them you thought they were robbed. But you do not do what Mr. West did. And that's not because Ms. Swift is a "kid." That fact that the conversation suggested the behavior was not acceptable because of her age is preposterous; the behavior was not acceptable because it was classless, offensive, inappropriate and rude. Regardless of whether Ms. Swift is 19 or 99. Period. Why in the world wouldn't the hosts simply say as much instead of suggesting the real issue was Ms. Swift's age rather than Mr. West's boorish behavior?!?

All preformers are professionals and when a senior professional do this infront of other colleuges...they should be escorted out. Taylor handled herself mature and professionally, and Beyonce showed true leadership when she recieved her award and let Taylor finish her speach.
On a side note: you have to wonder if he was paid to stir up that controversey for ratings for the show or for his personal gain??
what ever the reason, you shouldn't embarass anyone like that, especially on national TV! And I hope his ratings, sales, ect, goes down for this stunt! Nobody deserves that for talant and hard work!

September 14th, 2009, 4:22 pmwow, it wasn't nice that he did that to a kid? How about he's a scumsucking piece of trash that should be shunned by the industry. Regardless of who he did that to. I won't be watching leno tonight because he's on. Nor will I watch any show that he appears on.
