Guests: Day of Hot Topics, Chris Cumo
March 08, 2010 | Posted at 12:39 PM
It was a full day of Hot Topics here at The View and joining the table was special guest co-host Vanessa Williams.
Today, everyone took home a makeup gift box from Anastasia, the definitive brow and eye expert to the stars. In the gift box was lash-lifting mascara and Illumin8 eye shadow palette.
There’s been a lot of breaking news recently about the shocking jailhouse confession that could free Amanda Knox, as well as an exclusive look at the first video of Jaycee Dugard at home with her family. Today, chief of ABC News's law and justice unit Chris Cuomo was here to give us some information on these cases. Chris first spoke about the Amanda Knox case and what happened over the weekend that could free her. Then, he gave us an update on California teen Chelsea King, who went missing for almost two weeks. March 9th, 2010, 12:32 amI normally am not a huge Joy Behar fan, but Mar.8th show she deserves a "10" from me!!! Kudos to Joy for sharing her feelings on Child Predators. I agree with her opinion 100%. I feel if this country does not change the laws on prosecuting and sentencing these "Monsters", we are going to be in big trouble!!! My feelings are.... and YES, I'm on my SOAPBOX when it comes to sexual or any other kind of abuse of our young people... the perpetrators of our teens & children should be put to death IMMEDIATELY... this is the only way we are going to get a handle on this horrible crime!! I am so sick of this country giving these horrific monsters a second, third, fourth, etc., chance. Once you take the innocence of a child, you should FRY!!! And I know a lot of people who feel the same way... Please, can't our judicial system work for the victims in this case!!! Leave our young people alone!!!!! Let them LIVE!!!!

March 9th, 2010, 9:11 amI'm also proud of Joy too for saying that she favors the death penalty in cases like Chelsea King. Maybe if men were the targets, Chris Cuomo would favor it too. Shame on him!

March 11th, 2010, 1:00 pmI just wanted to say that i was appalled by the comment Vanessa Williams made about the movie"Precious" about how it was another movie about white people coming to save the day for a poor black girl. I went out and rented the movie and the only "White woman" that i saw help precious was "Mariah Carey" and she was playing the role of a social worker/therapist and it was her job to help this black girl with her problems. And it had nothing to do with "RACE" I think that everytime an African American is turned down for a job, or is disliked because of there personality etc.etc.etc. they blame it on "BECAUSE,they are African American. What do "White" people get to blame their unfortunate circumstances on???????? I am a mixture of White/Hispanic/Cherokee and if I don't suceed in life its because I didn't try hard enough!!!!!!
