Guests: Bill O'Reilly and Mario Cantone
October 30, 2009 | Posted at 1:24 PM
In honor of Halloween, it was A Very Vampire View on today's show! All the ladies transformed into some pretty spooky characters. Whoopi became She Who Will Not Be Named, Joy was Vampira, Sherri transformed into the Queen of the Damned, Elisabeth was Countess Chocula, and Barbara dressed as the goth incarnation of True Blood's Fangtasia. And Bill Geddie was Nosferatu!
Bill O’Reilly stopped by -- dressed in vampire attire -- to talk about his latest book, A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity. Bill spoke about the recent feud between the Obama administration and the FOX network. To hear more from Bill O’Reilly, pick up a copy of A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity; everyone in our audience took home a copy.
Longtime friend of The View Mario Cantone was here dressed as a very hyper Peter Pan. Mario spoke about how he just finished the Sex and the City sequel. He also poked some good-natured fun at celebrities and what they are going to be for Halloween ...
If you're thinking of throwing a Halloween party that won’t exceed your budget, Kelley Moore can tell you how to do so! Kelley turned a dining room into a haunted library and showed us how to make the walls of your house spooky. Then she demonstrated how to create scary portraits and make mirrors talk. You can catch Kelley tonight on HGTV’s Halloween Block Party which benefits Trick or Treat for Unicef.
To finish up with a Very Vampire View, Sherri showed us what happened when she went looking for a little Halloween fun and attended Nightmare Vampires in New York City ... boy, was it frightening!

November 2nd, 2009, 8:14 amI find the previous comment unnecessary, crude, rude and narrowminded. And, although I am a regular viewer of The View was quite upset of Whoopi's OBVIOUS distaste of Bill OReilly which was very unprofessional. He is deserving of an apology from Whoopi for her rudeness. Is not everyone deserving of their opinions (without the use of "hell" and opinionated "big time republicans")? Barbara should make Whoopi apologize for her actions on Friday. Freedom of Speech is a right and he was an invited guest. It seems to me that those that offer their opinions in a negative way are scared that "those republicans" might actually win out. You can turn off the TV if you don't like what is on ... Bill OReilly by the way, is not a republican as he stated and Fox News does have a right to do what they do and how they do it. At least they report on ALL the news and are not selective in what they broadcast. They do offer opinions and are the first to admit it. Why can't the other stations admit that they broadcast only what they want to and slant what they put on air towards proving their point not to report the news without bias?
