Today, The View welcomed Mariah Carey -- the Grammy award-winning singer who's had 18 No. 1 hits and sold over 200 million records! Mariah has a lot going on lately, what with a new husband, a brand new CD, and a movie on the way. She spoke with the ladies about how she met her husband Nick Canoon, what it was like making her new album (Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel), and about her new film Precious -- in which she plays a (very un-glamorous) social worker helping a troubled family.  The film doesn't come out until November, but it already has Oscar buzz coming off of winning the top award at the Toronto Film Festival. Later in the show, Mariah performed I Want to Know What Love Is from her new CD. Lucky for our audience, everyone took home a copy of Mariah's CD as well as her new perfume. Forever! 

Movies are quite expensive these days -- so it's good to hear from experts before you drop your hard-earned cash at the ticket counter. The new hosts of At The Movies, Michael Phillips and A.O. Scott, stopped by to tell us all about all the latest flicks -- which ones are suitable to families, which ones would make a great "date night," and which ones they're personally excited to see!

OMG I was so looking forward to seeing Mariah on the show but unfortunately I wasn't home in time. I thought I was going to see it online and I'm so disappointed it's not on here. I think the segment with those two movie guys should've been left out and show Mariah's segment. I really love watching this show I look forward to seeing it every morning(being I'm fortunate to be a stay at home wife THANK GOD).
