I suppose when Kate is on in the near future she will announce that she will be doing DWTS. Funny how she just happened to mention that she wanted to do the show...did she mention it on The View, Jay Leno or the numerous talk shows she has done. Isn;t Kate magical? Whatever she wishes for she gets. She is one smart cookie....

I read in Us Weekly (so, take it with a grain of salt) that she is sooo excited to go on her book tour and will leave the kids with nannies, instead of Jon. If you add DWTS to that, she is never even going to see them. And, according to the article, Jon hasn't seen them in over a month.

I think BOTH of them are jokes of parents. I believe that they love their kids, but once they got a taste of fame, the kids started taking a backseat. I feel bad for all of their children. They are being raised by nannies.

Have you seen the show "Table for 12"? They seem like a really down-to-earth couple. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like they will let the cameras get the better of them. Jon and Kate need to watch that show and remember what it means to be parents.

Can someone...anyone?...tell me WHY this person is considered a celebrity, much less a STAR?? Why Barbara believes her to be a fascinating individual? I did not find the character she played on Jon & Kate Plus 8 to be sympathetic, appealing, interesting or attractive in any way. I saw the View appearance she made previously and found her stiff, wooden, fake and uncomfortable. Yet she's been invited back?? And now she thinks she can galumph her way through Dancing with the Stars? I would love to know WHY?? And I would love to know how REAL stars feel about this imposter in their midst. Someone? Anyone?

I can't believe it either. What has she done that makes her famous? She is not a good parent, she is just after fame and fortune and could care less about the kids.

Sadly, reality tv stars are considered celebrities now. I don't get it either!

True enough. And there are some 'reality' stars that I like...they're real, interesting, appealing, and have something worthwhile to offer. Unlike Ms. Gosselin who is seemingly more infamous than famous - she seems to be universally disliked. Maybe it's just about ratings after all - she certainly is a polarizing figure. Not highly thought of and people seem to have a strong negative reaction to her (including me!). But perhaps she brings in the viewers? And she's misunderstood that to mean she is a beloved star of some sort?

It seemed like when the show was on, people didn't like her (I sure didn't). Then, during the divorce, she seemed to gain support as people turned away from Jon due to his ridiculous behavior. She should have stopped there...because it seems like people are going back to not liking her again.

If she is in DWTS, it probably is only for ratings (I guess all of the "stars" are though). I just hope she gets booted in week 1.

Her AND Jon need to start thinking of their 8 kids again. And, that will start when they actually start spending time with them again!

If Kate does appear on DWTS ( and I dont think she will) she will not last past the first week because no one will vote for her. Tune in to The Bachalor Monday night to find out the names of those who will be dancing on DWTS.

seeing kate on dwts would be a disturbing....she had her 15 minutes....the good news is samantha harris is gone. i hated those uninteresting and awkward interviews she did while they waited for the scores.
