MinnPost-Oct 18th: Today, National Public Radio announced a $1.8 million grant from Soros's Open Society Foundations for an "Impact of Government" initiative that will eventually "add editorial resources and reporters to NPR member stations in all 50 states."

AP: Later Wednesday, NPR issued a statement saying Williams' remarks "were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news an@lyst with NPR."

Williams' appearances on Fox have been an issue for NPR in the past, including his remarks about Michelle Obama on a 2009 episode of "The O'Reilly Factor."

"Michelle Obama, you know, she's got this Stokely Carmichael in a designer dress thing going. ... her instinct is to start with this blame America, you know, I'm the victim," Williams said, according to an account by NPR's Ombudsman Alicia Shepard. Carmichael was a civil rights activist.

Yet NPR ran a segment on how to speak teabagger.

I don't like my tax dollars going to an organization that claims to be objective, is really a front for the liberal politics and policies with a double standard, now compromised from getting marching orders from someone who want a new world order.

So you're pretty much saying that my withholding a check for $20 during the next fund drive will not give me as much of a voice with NPR then say Soros' $1.8 million?

Tot Teas: I don't like my tax dollars going to a war we were lied to about. You become outraged about a liberal putting money to a cause he believes in but say nothing about the billions placed by large corporations...

We all do not want Wars but I think we had better have the War over there than here and the way things are shapping up we are looking like maybe a War here in our country if this Adminstration does not get headed in the right direction. We can not continure to let everyone in to this country and legalize hispanic and give them free healthcare while everyone else has to work and pay for theirs. Our Dallas hospital Parkland delivers more babies a year than any other hospitaland most or illegal babies. We still give the parents gifts, free care, and it has been doing this for years paid for by Dallas taxpapers. So something has to give. We can not keep giving handouts to people than marched here in Dallas and demanded the our first language is Spanish

It is so hypocritical to listen to so many of this thread glad that Juan Williams was fired. You see the very ones that make the biggest deal out of "free speech" and "tolerance" aren't tolerant at all of other's free speech, only their own. What sanctimously hypocritical loosers they are.
