The View & Chevrolet Do the NY Auto Show

Today, Sherri took us along as she visited the New York International Auto Show, where Chevrolet gave us an exclusive look at some of their new vehicles! This year, Chevy has a wide variety of cars that are fuel effecient, look great and have numerous features to fit any driver’s needs. 2011 Chevrolet Volt

  • The Volt won the 2011 World Green Car of the Year Award at the NY auto show
  • The Volt is an extended range electric vehicle - but is has a gasoline engine. This means that if the electric battery is depleted, the gasoline engine acts as a generator of sorts, kicking in to give you an extra 344 miles of range.

Chevrolet Equinox (We just gave one away to a deserving viewer in Texas last month!)

  • This gets 32 miles per gallon on the highway, the best in it's segment
  • The Equinox has dual DVD players built into the back of the driver and passenger seats. With the extra leg room, this means long car rides just got easier for your family!

2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco

  • This vehicle gets 42 miles per gallon, EPA estimated on the highway.
  • A really cool feature: You can lock your car remotely, or check things like your tire pressure without having to be near your car! How? By downloading the Chevrolet app for any smart phone.
  • As of the first quarter, this was the best selling Chevrolet in the world!

2012 Chevrolet Sonic

  • This will be available later this fall.
  • It has an available turbocharged engine - meaning it's fun to drive and fuel effecient

2013 Chevrolet Malibu (the most buzzed about Chevrolet at the NY Auto Show!)

  • It is the eight generation of the Malibu - and the most fuel effecient ever
  • There's an infotainment system inside. It gives you connectivity to your smartphone. With your voice or steering wheel controls, you can operate the radio, the navigation system or wirelessly you can control your smart phone.
  • There's a 7 inch color touch screen - with storage behind it!
