When R-Pattz Met B-Waltz

Twilight star -- and screaming-fan magnet -- Robert Pattinson took to the couch on The View on Tuesday, and talked films, fans, and why older women are sexy.

Robert was joined by actress Emilie de Ravin, as they both star in the upcoming romantic drama Remember Me. Robert called the film -- in which his character, a rebellious young man, finds a spark with a quirky girl played by Emilie -- reminiscent of '70s and '80s films like Ordinary People and Terms of Endearment, saying they don't make movies like that anymore.
Barbara compared Robert to James Dean, though James Dean probably didn't have to answer questions about a Details interview where he said "something about vaginas" (that would be his quote that he's "allergic to vaginas"). Robert explained that the lesson he learned was "never try to make jokes in interviews" ... That, or "never do interviews."

Robert and Emilie discussed the awkwardness of filming their love scene together. Robert got tongue tied before mentioning the "modesty pouch" he had to wear -- which he described as "made out of half a bra." (That sounds like quite the arts & crafts project, no?)
"Betty White is one of the sexiest women in America." How's THAT for a headline quote? Robert said it while talking about his older-women fans. "The more age, the better," he followed up. Sorry, teens. Looks like you'll have to wait 'til you're older.

March 2nd, 2010, 11:21 pmI was very disappointed in the segment. It was 19 minutes long, (including commercials) and Emilie de Ravin got 1 minute. 1 minute! I admit I LOVE her, and believe she deserved more than 1 minute total!!! She has portrayed Claire for 6 seasons on LOST, and is Awsome actress. I believe her role in this movie is HUGE, without her there would not be a Movie...."She", Emilie makes the movie too. I know that Robert Pattinson is a HUGE star but for gosh sakes, it was embarrasing for Emilie de Ravin, and I think that SUXED. She should have got more time. Period.
I love "The View", DVR it everyday, but this episode made me really disappointed. Emilie deserved more......all I am sayin......"He" a'int "All that"..........Ladies, what was up with that???

Robert Pattison is not "all" that. Emilie is a great actress and deserved more. Way more. Disappointed Ladies.

Yesterday I feel like you really passed on Emilie! Way more time given to Robert-I was uncomfortable for Emilie so I can imagine she was a bit also. I know he is the hot topic now but that was just not right. Disappointed.
