Whoopi Responds to the Salahi's Accusations

August 04, 2010 | Posted at 4:07 PM

Thursday on The View, Whoopi responded to the accusations made by Michaele and Tareq Salahi. Watch below.

Here's the official response from ABC regarding Wednesday's broadcast of The View:

"At one point during Michaele Salahi’s appearance on The View on Wednesday, Whoopi lightly touched Ms. Salahi to get her attention and said to her 'Excuse me, can you get back to the White House, please?', meaning could Ms. Salahi return to the original subject of the conversation. After the show, Ms. Salahi and her husband accused Whoopi of hitting Ms. Salahi. As the broadcast clearly shows, the accusation was completely unfounded and erroneous. After the show and after being told she was being accused of hitting Ms. Salahi, Whoopi proceeded to defend herself verbally from this baseless claim in a heated exchange with the Salahis."

I watched the show, and clearly this chick is coo-coo for
coco puff. It appeared Whoopi was saying something to her,
why would she hit in full view of camaras and all the folks on the set. What planet did this lady and her husband come from?

Salahis are NUTS! I was in the audience today and sat near the door where Whoopi walked out. She did NOT hit anyone. I just watched what I recorded and you can see that this did not happen at all. Salahis should be in jail--they said they wrote a book to find the answers to their crashing the White House dinner--how came they can put their answers in a book BUT they could not answer the Congressional questions? Or not answer the questions on The View? This couple is a JOKE! Sure glad I was there today!

today I felt the show slipping toward a rowdy low level unbecoming -- completely on the part of the "guests"!

Oh My Goodness! I have never blogged or used this kind of communication before, but I'm just so upset by the fact that they, (the Salahi's) would have accused Ms Goldberg of doing anything offensive. I watched the show and I did not see or hear anything like that! These women or anyone who appears on the View should know that the panel are honest and will ask real questions - otherwise - why call it the View??? Some peoples' 15 minutes of fame is really 15 minutes of shame. Patty Martin -

I wouldn't even respond. She's getting the publicity that she wanted/craves. I wouldn't have had them on the show at all. Joy and Sherri were too pushy though and Joy needs to watch her facial expressions. Her smug looks irritate me and most of my friends who watch the show...ugh.
