A Surprise For a Deserving Boy

A Surprise For a Deserving Boy

February 04, 2011 | Posted at 8:16 AM

Nadin Khoury, just 13 years old, recently made headlines for being violently bullied. The View wanted to hear his story -- and gave him a surprise he never will forget.

Nadin was beaten up, dragged through the streets, put in a tree and then hung from a fencepost by seven schoolmates and no one came to his rescue. He and his family sat down with the co-hosts to discuss how this has affected them and why it is so important to speak up when being bullied.

The View did some research and learned that Nadin is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. After making a few calls, a few of the Eagles players wanted to honor this special boy. Eagles DeSean Jackson, Jamaal Jackson and Todd Herremans made a special visit to The View to surprise Nadin and tell him how brave he really is. The teammates also gave Nadin tickets to any game next season and a jersey signed by all 3 of them.

In all my years of watching your show, this is just one of the shows that hit such an emotional spot with me, not only for what the Eagles players did for the young man but for the fact that during my teenage years I was picked on very much for my weight as well as other features about my body. I cried so much during the interview and thank god this young man was not seriously hurt. I find Elizabeth's suggestion to be a very excellent one, but I think it should go one step further and more celebrities from not just from the NFL but other sports, as well as TV and the film industry should get involved. I just hope more people are like these Eagles players (that have a voice) get involved in things or events against bullying.
PS..@momwhocares44.....if what you are saying is true, why hasn't anyone come forward with some kind of proof that he himself bullied prior to this incident? Also is the "twilight" program?

Loved this show. I don't really like to watch the View b/c they all talk over each other and then you don't know what they are saying.I know that Ellen Degeneres does a lot for bullied kids and a lot of the stars she has on her show do also!
