Today the co-hosts welcomed "Real Life Hot Topic" and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong, who has come clean to the press about the violence she suffered at the hands of her ex-husband Russell, who tragically committed suicide last year. The interview was a powerful and fascinating look into the cycle of abuse too many people find themselves trapped in. Watch it below, and pass it on.

February 8th, 2012, 10:52 amI have watched "The View" for many years and have tolerated things that I did not like many, many times but on February 6, when Taylor Armstrong was being interviewed and Joy said to her "you must be happy that your husband is dead" was the last time I will watch it. There was no reason for a comment like that to anyone no matter what the situation was at the time of her husband's suicide. "The View" has lost me as a viewer.

February 8th, 2012, 2:43 pmImportant that we hear people's stories, even tragic ones from sources other than tabloids. I never paid attention to Armstrong because she was a reality TV star. She struck a chord with me. Once you break free from the abuse, you need to find yourself again, and I think that is best done with help. You need to ask for help. For so many freedom is just the beginning.

February 9th, 2012, 9:42 amI was also disappointed that no one questioned Taylor on her aggressive behavior to her co-stars. She knew that Kim Richards had a substance abuse problem and threated to take her outside and go "Oklahoma" on her. This is a woman who has many docuumented episodes on the RHOBH where she is aggressive and threatening. This woman is no wall flower. She is not low self esteem. How can she justify her aggressive abusive behavior?

February 9th, 2012, 9:58 pmSo on the reunion show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills some a the woman attacked her for trying to make money from Russell's death. That is just so mean and so insensitive. Taylor is victim. She should not be blamed for this. Taylor was a victim of domestic abuse, but the thing is she also famous and well known. Using her fame to get her story out and encourage other woman to come forward and try and save themselves is the right thing to do. I really admire her and for whom ever thinks she was wrong well, that is your opinion but I strongly think this is a smart thing.

February 10th, 2012, 9:58 amI don't know. Her claim to be abused is hard for me to really believe. I am trying to because it would be horrible if she was. My question is why would she write a book so soon after his death? I understand she is in the public eye and while it is fresh vocalize it to encourage others to walk away if they are in that situation. Get it, but the poor guy just committed suicide. Seriously. If he was abusive that is wrong, and it sounds like his business practices were wrong (no thanks to her wanting to spend insane amounts of money including ridiculous birthday parties for her daughter.). But no one deserves to have themselves dragged through the mud when they can not defend themselves.
