Prince Makes A Surprise Visit

Surprise! Prince is here! The legendary singer made a surprise walk-out on today's The View shocking Sherri, a devoted Prince fan. Prince was in New York to perform at Madison Square Garden so he dropped in on the ladies to give them tickets to one of his shows. He sat at the Hot Topics table for just a moment, then later left.

I understand the media needs someone young to build up now in order to tear down late, but why this kid--who has no REAL talent? I would have been interested in seeing Barbara's 10 Most Interesting People special if it weren't for Mr. Wannabe and the Jersey Shore clan. I think so called, "Reality TV Stars", and internet wannabes, do nothing but cheapen and damage the already fragile standards in the entertainment business.
I'm 24, and I am embarrassed to admit, this is the best my generation has to offer!
I think the US is not only 17th in Reading... 23rd in Science and 25th in Math--but we are last when it comes to original talent. Way to go USA!!
Well there is one bright spot... Bieber is Canadian!

My name is Leah Meldahl, I am twenty one years old, I decided to take a shot, and write to you, even though I know this actually reaching you is one in a million. I saw your show today, and was overcome with joy when the one and only Prince stopped by. He has been the love of my life since I was fifteen. All I had ever known up to that point was boy bands, and lip-syncing. When I got the chance to see him live in 2004, his show swept me off my feet. The live music, all the instruments, truly magical and opened my eyes to what real music should be. I have been lucky enough to see him a few times since then and must say each show is an experience, and takes you to places you have never been before.
When he announced he was going on tour, I was so excited I could hardly stand it. I even found the perfect purple dress to wear. Imagine how disappointed I was to find he was only doing a select number of shows in New York and New Jersey. Being a broke college art student I don’t think there is any way I can find a way out to New York and tickets to his show. Is there is ANY way you could help? You have no idea how much I would appreciate it! You would be making my biggest wish come true!!!

December 9th, 2010, 6:49 pmI am happy that Barbara's special is on tonight. I just feel that the promotion of her specials has taken over the show. Just feels that it went overboard and if you are a faithful viewer everyday was too much.
