Lauren Conrad on Spencer Pratt: "He's lying."

The Hills star Lauren Conrad stopped by The View today to promote her new novel, L.A. Candy, the conversation quickly turned to her Hills co-star/nemesis Spencer Pratt.

Spencer and his wife Heidi were on The View earlier this week, promoting themselves and their recent appearance on NBC's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. While chatting with the ladies, Spencer had talked about his on-screen apology to Lauren Conrad (for starting a sex-tape rumor about her), which he claimed wasn't entirely sincere.

When the ladies asked Lauren about the apology -- which aired on the Hills season finale -- she revealed that the scene didn't even happen. "To be perfectly honest, I wasn't on the other line of that call," she claimed. "That was filmed, and I wasn't on the other end."
