Marc Summers from Food Network's Unwrapped visited to show us a few sweet eatable items this holiday season. Here's a some of the delicious treats he mentioned:
Candy Canes from Spangler Candy
Spangler Candy makes over two million candy canes every day, including favorite flavors peppermint and red & white stripe. (spanglercandy.com)
Peppermint Bark from Swiss Colony
Swiss Candy promises that their peppermint bark is made by hand. They sell over 4,000 pounds of the candy every year. (swisscolony.com)
Fruitcake from Beatrice Bakery/Grandma's Fruitcake
Beatrice Bakery anticipates producing 5,000 fruitcakes a day, and about a million pounds of fruitcake a year. The bakery uses the typical ingredients but their batter is 65% fruit and nuts. They also promise a secret ingredient to keep the cake from drying out! (beatricebakery.com)
Ribbon Candy from Hammonds Candies
One batch of Hammonds Candies ribbon candy makes about 400 ribbons and they produce nearly 70,000 pounds of the candy each year. (hammondscandies.com)
Gingerbread House by Cookie Gallery
The Cookie Gallery makes more than 4,000 Gingerbread Houses each day during the holiday season. (cookiegallery.com)
