The Co-Hosts Call Kate Gosselin

"I hate that this is happening to myself and my kids." Those were the words of reality TV mom Kate Gosselin when she called in to The View this morning to discuss reports that her estranged husband, Jon, had drained their shared bank account of over $200,000.

Kate described the situation as "the worst thing that I could be talking about," then gave her account of last Friday when she was paying bills only to find her bank account balance had gone from $231,000 to little more than $1,000. But what of Jon's recent statements that he was seeking reconciliation? Kate claims she hasn't heard from Jon about that -- and that his attempts to put a hold on production of Kate Plus 8 (minus Jon) have only disappointed their children, whose trip to New York to see the Statue of Liberty was canceled. Not to mention that the show is Kate's only means of supporting her family.
Guest co-host Lisa Ling, however, was incredulous that keeping the show going would be the only way Kate has of supporting her children. Lisa said she didn't see a problem with Jon wanting to halt production of the show for the sake of the kids. "The decisions that I'm making benefit my children," was Kate's response. And while Kate did claim that she would "work at McDonald's" if that's what it takes to support her family, Joy and Sherri later opined that a McDonald's wage wouldn't cut it for eight children.
For her part, Kate said she hopes the show does go on -- and as for the missing money from her bank account, that's now "up to the lawyers and the courts."

October 5th, 2009, 7:32 amFirst of all I just want to applaude Kate for trying to take the high road and by not repeatedly publicly speaking about private matters... Kate how do you feel about the fact that when he has his time set aside with the children you see him very publicly out and about without the children (like this past weekend with him in LA) he says are so important to him?

They are on every talk show, and as usual the media is beating us half to death with celebrity garbage.
There are so many more important stories out there.

If your kids want to see the Statue of Liberty,Kate, here's a novel idea...TAKE THEM YOURSELF!!! Why do you need cameras and TLC in order to HAVE FUN WITH YOUR CHILDREN? Oh that's right you have to be paid! You are a PATHETIC parent. I feel sorry for your kids.
